PISCES FULL MOON: Surrender

The Full Moon  arrives at 13 degrees of Pisces on Wednesday, September 6 at 3:02 AM EDT

As I write, I find myself somewhat at a loss for words. The Pisces Full Moon experience is fathomless and when accompanied by it’s ruler Neptune, as this Full Moon is, it is difficult to articulate the depth of emotion and otherworldly associations that we are experiencing at this time.

As with any lunar cycle, there is a fleet of planets accompanying the Moon, imbuing her with layers of cavernous depth. These planetary travelers serve to further assist our navigation through this time. Each planet is a spaceship unto itself; a part of the planetary gestalt sailing the cosmos.

At this juncture, the guest of honor is Neptune; an embodiment of the invisible, the numinous, the sacred, the transcendent, The Divine. This is a most propitious moment in which to access the immense sensitivity residing in our emotional body that we as sentient beings inhabit. There is no escaping it. We are as open as a cloudless sky.

This is the first Full Moon following the intense eclipse cycle of the last New Moon and Full Moon. One would think that we are getting a bit of a break, however, we are in the thick of things. Eclipse cycles last far longer than their actual events. We are now  integrating and synthesizing all that has emerged both internally and externally during the recent eclipses. This is a time of reckoning. The only manner in which to reconcile the astronomical shape shifting of our psyches and of our lives is to surrender. Surrender to the Unknown.  Surrender to the Self. Surrender to Emotion. Surrender to the Divine.

There is no amount of personal will that can navigate this increment of time. Time is navigating us. We have expanded beyond intellectual understanding. All we can do is breath and let grace lead the way. We have to once again, find our legs. And right now, our legs are treading the watery realm of Pisces The Fishes. So tread, and swim, and paddle. Make sure that you come up for air. Pisces reminds us of our oceanic nature.  By delving deeply into the mysterious realm that we now inhabit, we align with  ourselves as we are lead into the next chapter of our soul’s unfolding.

We are releasing the hardened molds of self-definition that we have been living out thus far, only to find that we as we have known ourselves, are no longer. The ego is dissipating. The ground beneath our feet feels like a rip tide pulling us away from shore.  Just let go. We will eventually wash ashore in a new land where we will greet an awakened self.

Change is not always visible. Change also takes place within the invisible realms of our being. The soul, the psyche, and the heart are being put through their paces. There may be something that is bubbling on the surface of your mind, a matter which you believed you had put to rest long ago, but now is revisiting with persistent yet gentle intensity. Breath into it.

This is a tender time. As a time of expanded compassion, shower some upon yourself.  Allow yourself to dream. Cry. Forgive. Create. Pray. Visualize. Listen to Music. Commune with Nature; all facets of the Neptunian realm.

But mostly; just surrender.

Pisces Full Moon Blessings Upon You.

“I have been driven many times upon my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had no where else to go. My own wisdom and that of all about me seemed insufficient for that day.” ~ Abraham Lincoln ~

“Always say “yes” to the present moment. What could be more futile, more insane, than to create inner resistance to what already is? what could be more insane than to oppose life itself, which is now and always now? Surrender to what is. Say “yes” to life — and see how life suddenly starts working for you rather than against you.”
~ Eckhart Tolle ~

“Something amazing happens when we surrender and just love. We melt into another world, a realm of power already within us. The world changes when we change. the world softens when we soften. The world loves us when we choose to love the world.” ~ Marianne Williamson ~

CAPRICORN FULL MOON: Moving Mountains

The Full Moon  arrives at 17 degrees of Capricorn on Sunday, July 9 at 6:30 AM EDT.

If ever there was a time in which to delve deeply into our emotions, the time is now.

The beauty of Full Moon cycles is that they offer vision. We cannot break through something that we cannot see. Full Moons are the quintessential time in which to see, really see, what is lurking beneath the surface of our psyches. This obscured emotional matter is informing our lives, often in ways which only serve to oppress us. The Moon’s incandescent light offers us a springboard for the the deep interior dive. As we travel the trajectory of this downward plunge, we will encounter shadow realms inhabited by old interior companions. Their names are Anger, Rage, Shame, Sadness, and Grief. These dimensions of the self we have long abandoned are desperately seeking our attention so that they can be recognized and released. We in turn, are emancipated from their oppression. When we face them with an open heart, we free ourselves.

Beneath the shadow of our human psyche lies the opulent gold of our highest nature. Herein lies our inherent gifts, desired enlightenment, and personal freedom. As we courageously catapult ourselves from the precipice of our calcified nature, the perceived structures of safety and security crack open like an ancient dinosaur egg. The primordial matter of our soul is released and we are healed. In order to have this vision, we must willingly enter the portal. Once we are through, we must love what we discover there.

During a Full Moon, as the Sun and Moon reflect each other, so do we. We are mirrors unto ourselves and each other. We only have to willingly recognize and lovingly embrace who and what is before us. We may not be fond of the reflection, and yet, the image that gazes back, offers us an elixir for awakening.

With any lunar cycle, there is a community of planets who for better or worse, interact with each other. The Capricorn Full Moon has Mars and Pluto as her powerful traveling companions. This is a most challenging and volatile alignment. And yet, the alchemy of these planetary travelers serve to further assist our navigation through this time. Each planet is an entity unto itself, contributing to the  gestalt of the multi-dimensional core of our being.

A most challenging three days is upon us. The Capricorn Moon will be the grounding force providing us with steadfastness, patience, and adherence to the path. Thus, we look to the qualities of Capricorn to see us through this arduous and trans-formative interlude of time.

Capricorn The Sea-Goat is a cardinal earth sign ruled by Saturn. Capricorn embodies the archetypes of The Hermit, The Father, and The Prime Minister. Capricorn loves a challenge, even in the face of being daunted by what lies ahead. The Sea-Goat is an ancient mythological creature with great stamina. He will climb the highest mountain and swim the widest ocean to arrive at his destination of accomplishment.

Capricorn embodies the qualities of authority, discipline, discipleship, solitude, accomplishment, melancholy, seriousness, determination, tenacity, boundaries, limitations and challenges. When Capricorn is out of balance, the less evolved expressions of aggressiveness, competitiveness, selfishness, avarice, depression and emotional stagnation arise.

Capricorn needs solitude in order to commune with the deep complexity that it’s ruler, Saturn, brings. While there is a tremendous desire for great accomplishment, there is also a deep seated fear of failure. Capricorn is daunted by their own greatness. Wherever Capricorn resides in your natal chart, is an area of great profundity, one which must be adhered to from a place of authenticity and self-authority. It is an area where you are being called to high achievement. And yet, this very realm may be challenged along the way with limitations, setbacks and delays. As a result, Capricorn can suffer from the proverbial inferiority complex. One of Capricorn’s most significant evolutionary tasks is to stay the course with the understanding that there are no shortcuts in attaining one’s goal. Capricorn’s ruler, Saturn, will test one’s character and self-confidence over and over again. This is when we call upon our inner Sea-Goat.

This Capricorn Full Moon cycle is facilitating our journey with the drive, strength and grounded determination that we need to move inner mountains. By doing so, we will clear a path. Once this path unfolds before us we will find determined strength to climb what we have once perceived as an unreachable peak. Once we reach the summit and see what lies on the other side, we will not be disappointed. Even if the journey has been a bit messy, a long awaited realization will have congealed to perfection.

It is a time in which to take ourselves seriously; not in a manner which inflates us, but rather, in a way in which we garnish ourselves with self-respect.

Where do we stop ourselves out of fear of failure? What is requiring discipline and devotion at this time? Are we recognizing our limitations?  Who and what are we raging at? How can we take responsibility for our feelings? Where do we need to set healthy boundaries?  How can we love that which we deem unlovable within us? What is our own particular brand of greatness?  Are we standing in our own authority? How can we author our own lives? What aspects of ourselves or our lives need to die? In what areas of our lives do we long for rebirth?

Capricorn is the solid ground provided in order for us to depart from that which no longer serves our true nature. There is a bigger picture.  We cannot see the new landscape until the dust has settled. In the meantime, the Capricorn Moon is casting an orb of true reflection before us. We must first see before we can understand. Self-understanding requires the ability to stand under oneself. Like a mountain.

Capricorn Full Moon Blessings Upon You.

“Perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us act, just once, with beauty and courage. Perhaps everything that frightens us is, in its deepest essence, something helpless that wants our love.”
~ Rainer Maria Rilke ~

PISCES NEW MOON SOLAR ECLIPSE: Swimming The Sea of Life

The New Moon Solar Eclipse arrives at 8 degrees of Pisces on Sunday, February 26 at 9:58 AM EST.

During a New Moon, we are offered the sacred conjunction of both solar and lunar consciousness. It is here where we blend and merge aspects of our psyche which may at other times be quite estranged from each other. Something within us awakens from an ancient slumber propelling us to embark upon a nascent journey.

Solar Eclipses always happen upon a New Moon, impressing upon us a heightened impetus toward a new beginning. Somewhere, within some dimension of our multi- layered lives, a spotlight shines forth. The stage is set. Herein lies heightened subjective awareness. Wherever the New Moon Solar Eclipse falls in your natal chart, wherever Pisces resides, there will be a marked change. Whether upon some exterior level, or within an interior realm, the life we have known is forever altered. As our interior world is the facilitator for our outer experience, we will most  likely see the changes both within and without. As Pisces is the most imaginative of the signs, these images are evermore potent and powerful thus exerting greater influence upon our lives.

Each lunar cycle forms a grand assembly of planetary participants who interact with each other, thus propelling us to commune with the different and sometimes opposing aspects within and of ourselves. There is complexity. We are assembling our own unique puzzle, searching for the missing pieces, finding that they were right in front of us in clear view all along. The Moon in Pisces is accompanied by Mercury, the  South Node, the Sun, Neptune and Chiron. Themes of communication, karma, essence, God and the wounded healer emerge and merge, huddling together as a cosmic team.

Prominent archetypal themes for this sign include The Dreamer, The Poet, The Mystic, The Martyr and The Redeemer. Pisces embodies the qualities of compassion, sensitivity, imagination, creativity, dreaminess, other-worldliness, changeability and attunement to the Divine.

As Neptune is the ruler of Pisces, it’s immersion within this Pisces cluster  imbues it with even more mystery, spirit, emotion, depth and sensitivity.

At this time, Pisces The Fishes is awakening within us deeper contemplation of where we belong in the grandeur of life. We find our ourselves, like The Fishes, swimming in opposite directions only to find that we come full circle.  As a mutable feminine water sign, Pisces adeptly circumvents the turbulent waters embracing duality.

We cannot escape the intensity of emotion that not only is reflective of our personal experience. We listen and hear the cries of the world as well. Collective consciousness looms large. There is a desire to expand the source of our spiritual awareness, thus facilitating healing for ourselves and each other in a world that is at the same time both consumed by and longing for compassion.

Wherever Pisces resides within our chart, we will encounter heightened sensitivity,  psychic expansion and experience of our oneness with life in its myriad forms. As the last sign of the zodiac, Pisces is a sign of karmic completion. We may be revisiting old themes, relationships and experiences that we felt we had processed and released. Now, they hauntingly return, requiring us to dive head on into the oceanic depths of emotional awareness.

Amidst this climate of swirling emotion and quiet softness, sudden change is afoot. Mars, Jupiter and Uranus are stirring the cauldron of our personal world as well as the world at large. The illusion is being shattered by this fiery trio. Courage is called upon as we face the unknown territory of three dimensional reality. The world we have known has become chaotic. Life is becoming stranger and thus a stranger unto us. As tectonic plates within the depths of the earth, the paradigm is shifting.

It is only by navigating our own interior with full awareness and personal responsibility that we can contribute authentic presence and mindful action to this ever changing and evolving earthly habitat. Despite all appearances, we are healing.

Emerging from the depths, we discover gold in the shadows. As we awaken to a society of dreams, we discover a soft tender spot wrapping ourselves and each other in love.

Pisces New Moon Blessings Upon You.

It is the belief in a power larger than myself and other than myself which allows me to venture into the unknown and even the unknowable. – Maya Angelou –

When we quit thinking primarily about ourselves
and our own self-preservation,
we undergo a truly heroic transformation of consciousness.
– Joseph Campbell –

One can give nothing whatever without giving oneself—that is to say, risking oneself. If one cannot risk oneself, then one is simply incapable of giving.

FULL MOON IN AQUARIUS: ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL

The Full Moon Eclipse arrives at 25 degrees of Aquarius on Thursday, August 18, at 5:26 AM EDT. Eclipses infuse additional potent emotional matter to the already highly energized full moon.

star_thoth_lgEclipses are times of profound and irrevocable change. Lunar eclipses are particularly revelatory as they give us a glimpse into hidden areas of ourselves and others. During such times, we are more attuned to what Carl Jung referred to as: The Shadow Self. Such revelations can be somewhat shocking. These uncomfortable junctures serve as opportunities to embrace our wholeness, offering us magical moments of transformational self-discovery.

Aquarius, The Water Bearer symbolizes the healing waters of life poured forth and upon those beings and situations parched from the harsh adversities of earthly life. No one is immune to or exempt from the realm of human suffering. Aquarius is exquisitely attuned to this collective condition. In response, Aquarius nourishes.

At this time, the Water Bearer is awakening within us a heightened awareness of our authentic selfhood longing to express for the greater good of our shared humanity.

Aquarius is a fixed air sign, ruled by Uranus. While visited upon, themes of change, freedom, genius, authenticity, originality and humanitarianism are playing upon the collective high definition screen.

Wherever Aquarius resides in your natal chart is a distinctive area of life in which you are inspired to break out of the so called norm in order to live that particular realm of  life in your own unique,  sometimes revolutionary manner. Herein lies your particular brand of genius and attunement to the cosmos.

Over the next three days, here are some important questions for self-inquiry:

Where are you longing to break out of old dysfunctional patterns of thought and behavior? Is there a particular area of your life in which you need to break completely free? How can you best enjoy your particular style of unique genius? How can your authentic  gifts serve the greater good? How do you relate to humanity? How do you navigate multi-dimensional reality?

Life, God, The Universe, Higher Power; however we relate to such Divine Intelligence, will present a hands on interactive call for engagement within an arisen circumstance that catapults us into the moment where we show up fully clothed in the archetype that has beckoned to us. This beckoning only serves to remind us what is already inherently present and intact within the kaleidoscope of our psyche, our soul’s patterning. These pinnacle moments offer us an awakening to the thread of humanity that is woven throughout us all in the quilted fabric of life.

Last evening, as I was contemplating this article, the rain poured.  It called to mind an image of collective humanity steeped in the challenges of our time, receptive to the waters of healing. As I stood on my front porch seeing a piano student out, I heard a foreign cry.  I realized the calls were distressed and rapid. I followed the sounds to a neighbor’s yard where it became clear  that some creature was in the trash bin. As I peeked over it’s edge, not knowing who I would find there, two baby raccoons neck high in water looked up at me with desperate eyes, shrieking in terror. They were on the brink of drowning. I gently tipped the bin, allowing the water to pour out. One of the babies scampered out right away, clearly well and intact. The other one, remained in the bin, water logged and in shock. I wondered  what to do. Was he breathing? Was he suffering?  I decided to let nature take her course. This morning, upon waking, I went to check on the baby to see if he had made it through the night. He was gone! He made it! Oh Rapture!

As synchronicity would have it, this experience exemplified a facet of the Moon in Aquarius.  We do what we can do. We are angels unto each other. We awaken to our essential self and lend a hand.

Aquarius Full Moon Blessings Upon You.
