“As above, so below, as within, so without, as the universe, so the soul… ~ Hermes Trismegistus ~
The New Moon arrives at 17 degrees of Virgo on Sunday, September 9 at 2:01 PM EDT.
As each New Moon arrives, we are stirred by a fresh facet of universal consciousness. There is an area within our lives which has reached completion. It is time to begin anew. There are whispers of our names upon the air. Listen. Can you hear your name? Universal intelligence is guiding us upon the next leg of our journey. At this time, there is a hidden roadmap. Over the next three days, this cosmic map will unfold before us, providing guidance and direction.
The New Moon is a time of deep introspection. While communing intimately with the interior self, knowledge of our authentic divine nature awakens. As this knowledge pours forth, we are in turn awakened to it.
The ground has been prepared. The seeds are planted. Upon our own steadfastness within this new awareness, a gradual process of becoming will lead to fruition. We may not feel our legs just yet. When three days have passed, when the Moon emerges into her Crescent phase, we too will begin to emerge. For now; hunker down. And listen.
Virgo The Virgin is a feminine mutable earth sign ruled by Mercury. Virgo is the quintessential sign of service unto others. The Virgoan path is one of helpership. As a sign possessed of humility and quietude, Virgo reminds us that in order to guide others, we must first look within. For we cannot become what we do not recognize. We cannot give what we do not have. We cannot impart what we do not know. We can only draw upon an inner knowing infused by the heart. Herein lies a mastery of serving each other and the world.
As the New Moon’s close companion is Neptune, it is a time of tremendous sensitivity. Neptune is the planet of otherworldliness, creativity, mysticism, spirituality, empathy, and collective suffering. Virgo and Neptune are perfect cohorts; as together they facilitate grounded compassionate awareness. We are seeing beyond three dimensional reality whereby the meaning of our incarnation goes far beyond our personal desires to a strong and fervent yearning to serve. The cries of the world are upon us. An attunement to the divine unification of all life is coursing through our veins.
This New Moon serves as a grounding force whereby we have the ability to hold onto ourselves while extending ourselves at the same time. We are feeling the woman in Saudi Arabia who has been arrested. We are feeling immigrant parents and their children, estranged from each other. We are feeling the animals, whose habitat is being stolen away. We are feeling those who are victims in the throes of brutal wars.
While this New Moon is heightening our awareness to such circumstances in the world, this awareness is always upon us. It may not always be at the edge of our consciousness, but it is there. As inherently psychic beings, everyone knows everything. We are one psychic organism. At this time the universe is doing a cosmic reset within our personal lives as well as in all of humanity. We are primed for an expanded awareness of everything and everyone. From this new awareness emanates the desire to become better so that we can be better for each other.
There is also an opportunity for an expanded awareness of joy. Suffering and joy are not mutually exclusive. We can walk hand in hand with both. In doing so, we bear even greater gifts to the world. As we attune to sadness and joy; the personal and the collective; let us know that service is not always a grand gesture. Service is an attitude. It can inhabit all areas of life with every breath that we take.
Do you long to contribute in service? What do you deeply care about? Which area of your life is being honed and perfected? How can you best serve your body? Where do you reside in quiet joy? How can you accomplish a small task with great love? To who, what, and where are you being called?
In such chaotic times as these, know that we have ourselves, we have each other, and we have the world. That’s a whole lot.
Just show up.
The world needs you
VIRGO NEW MOON BLESSINGS UPON YOU.

“Just like a sunbeam can’t separate itself from the sun, and a wave can’t separate itself from the ocean, we can’t separate ourselves from one another. We are all part of a vast sea of love, one indivisible divine mind.” ~
The Full Moon arrives at 22 degrees of Gemini on Tuesday, December 13, at 7:05 PM EST.
This is yet another Supermoon! The moon will loom large as it is at it’s closest point to earth in it’s monthly orbit. This is the third in a series of consecutive Supermoons.
Supermoons are powerful lunar phases in which feelings, beliefs, awareness and inner blockages reveal themselves to us strongly and prolifically. While this can be overwhelming, facing that which rises to consciousness at this time, feeling that which has been lurking in the darkness, ultimately brings healing, freeing us from our constraints. Full Moons provide us with an “AHA!” moment. Super Full Moons are like “AHA!” moments on steroids. This is a powerful time.
At this juncture, humanity is primed with luminous energy in the service of consciousness awakening.
Wherever Gemini resides in your natal chart is the area in which you will meet enlightenment, see the bigger picture, find a realm of completion.
Gemini is a mutable air sign, ruled by Mercury. Gemini The Twins embodies the qualities of free spirit, communication, listening, learning, humor, wittiness, intellect, lightness, spontaneity, flexibility, restlessness, fun and magic. Gemini archetypes are The Teacher, The Witness and The Storyteller.
Gemini is now facilitating an inner dialogue between the higher self and the human self, for Gemini is the master of duality. It is the soul purpose of Gemini to navigate the complex and intricate territory of the psyche thus facilitating a loving exchange between our loving self and those facets of ourselves that fuel us with pain and conflict. Gemini is an ambassador to our inner world.
Seems like an arduous task for Gemini, however, amidst Gemini’s intricate inner workings we are also reminded of our need for lightness, fun, play and clear heartfelt communication.
As Gemini is a master of words, all manner of expression looms large. Words are powerful. They can inspire love or create pain. Thus, we are reminded from The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz, of the first agreement; “BE IMPECCABLE WITH YOUR WORD.”
Two powerful cohorts are accompanying the Gemini Full Moon adding gravity and somberness to Gemini’s lightness. Saturn and Chiron are also prolifically upon us at this time.
Saturn, The Great Teacher, stirs within us where we are feeling our limitations, restrictions, delays and blockages. An extra dose of self love is required to work with Saturn, as there is a feeling of heaviness leading to what can be an excruciating beating up of the self. For Saturn is the great taskmaster urging us to fulfill our dharma by embracing our inner authority. Saturn beckons us to assess our personal boundaries. We are being shown where and with whom we need to set some limits. Confidence may be lacking at this time. Remember, our egos can be daunted by our soul’s greatest calling. Fear has been looming upon us. We must go to the places we fear to go, trusting our higher self to lead the way to a safe and fulfilling destination.
Chiron, The Wounded Healer, is also a guest on this Full Moon journey. We all incarnate with a soul wound, an inconsolable dimension of our psyche. Our wounds are a bit more open at this juncture, giving us an opportunity to meet them with self-compassion. More importantly, these wounds which cause us great suffering are the sacred areas in which we facilitate healing for others. As Alice Miller, the great Swiss psychologist and author of The Drama Of The Gifted Child wrote; “THE GIFT IS IN THE WOUND.” Whatever your life story may be, Chiron beseeches you to write a new one.
How can you create more mindfulness with what you say, how you say it and to whom? Is there something that you need to say to someone? Is there something that you need to say to yourself? Can you take the conversation to a higher level both outwardly and inwardly? Where can setting boundaries help you to move forward in an unconstrained manner? Are you including time for for fun in your life? How can you lighten the load? Are you attached to your story? And if so, how is this narrative holding you back from loving yourself and embracing life in a more joyful fashion? In what areas can you embody more self-compassion? How can you extend this compassion to others?
Gemini is inspiring us to embrace all of who we are; the conscious adult and the inner child, lightness and darkness, love and fear, confidence and trepidation. We all face duality within the self. Remember, Gemini is the master of duality, embodying a high love vibration which serves us magnificently with unifying our fragmented selves.
As long as our inner and outer channels of communication remain open with love and integrity, revelation and healing abound.
Gemini Full Moon Blessings Upon You.
Love and Light, Donna
“Learning is a result of listening, which in turn leads to even better listening and attentiveness to the other person. In other words, to learn from the child, we must have empathy, and empathy grows as we learn.” – Alice Miller –

The New Moon arrives at 7 degrees of Scorpio on Sunday, October 30 at 1:38 PM EDT.
During a New Moon cycle, the Moon and the Sun are aligned in the same sign. New Moons present a gift of subjective insight within a specific realm of our psyches, thus offering to us within this very realm a new beginning imbued with fresh awareness. As the Moon is hidden from view, this newborn perspective is deeply internalized. Unaffected by influences outside of the self, it is a time in which to trust oneself. New Moons offer some of the most intimate moments we can ever have with ourselves.
This begins a 29-day cycle in which we have opportunity to initiate growth in some realm of our being or particular area of our lives. It is a time in which heightened subjective awareness is more readily available to us. Seeds of nascent consciousness stir anew. We can watch the growth, fruition and completion of whatever we discover throughout the entire lunar cycle.
At this juncture, Scorpio the Scorpion is inviting us to dive into the deep well of inner darkness, for it is within these depths of consciousness that transformation of the highest order awaits us.
Scorpio is a fixed water sign, ruled by Mars and Pluto. The qualities of death, depth, darkness, intensity, power, passion, faithfulness, bravery and focus are ever present to us as we embark upon the inner quest.
Wherever Scorpio resides in our natal chart is where we fully embody the darkness. It is an area of profound personal power. This realm of our deepest wounding offers tremendous opportunity for transformation within this lifetime. And yet, it can act as a blind spot that lives in exile from our greater wholeness. At this time we have the will, the vision, the capacity and the courage to face our darkness, our human shadow: that which we deem unlovable.
This place is one in which we have perhaps neglected to inhabit. It is a realm of difficult psychic, emotional, psychological and spiritual matter. While it is an area of the psyche that we have neglected, for it can feel like just too much to face and feel, this very area of trepidation is powerful beyond measure. When these emotions are faced and felt, we rise from the ashes like the phoenix, a powerful mythological symbol closely aligned with Scorpio. We die in order to be born anew.
We may find ourselves undergoing deep alchemical processes whereby transformation, transmutation and transfiguration are means for transport from the uncomfortable inner complacency which has been longing for recognition and release. Herein, beneath the darkness, lies the true gold of our inherent nature, our divine essence; the purest and highest expression of the true self.
What areas of your life have reached a place of completion? Do you feel a kind of death to your old self? Can you release people, places and situations which no longer serve your highest good to the light? Where do you need to take a risk? How can you best recognize the dark emotions through the lens of love? Where are you meeting the shadow in the outer world and with whom? Can you behold your deepest wound as the source of your greatest gift?
As we celebrate the beauty of nature in her death cycle, let us celebrate the beauty of our nature.
The darkness is a sacred chamber.
New Scorpio Moon Blessings Upon You.
