FULL MOON IN CAPRICORN: The Soul’s Mountain

The mantram of the astrologer is: AS ABOVE, SO BELOW.  This is my prayer, my incantation; as I serve to translate the divine urging of this sacred juncture that is set before us.

The Full Moon  arrives at 6 degrees of Capricorn on Thursday, June 28 at at 12:52 AM EDT

The splendor and magnificence of a Full Moon transports us from the ordinary to the extraordinary. While Full Moon cycles provide us with high energy and emotional magnitude, they also stir the cauldron of our multidimensional souls; for the soul contains a potpourri of dualistic ingredients. The Full Moon is a magnificent mirror which provides us with an opportunity to look within; to really look. As we look deeply within, we are graced with the ability to look without as well; for Full Moons are quite relationally revealing; offering insight, illumination, and awakening.

We often traverse our lives in a sort of trance state, weighted down by emotional stagnation; an accumulation of wounds, sorrows, and woes. At this juncture we are suffering from a state of ennui, a world weariness which often leads us to boredom, depression, lethargy, and restlessness. We are also filled with a sense of heightened responsibility within our own lives as well as for the collective conditions of humanity. While this Capricorn Full Moon, fueled by Saturn, will highlight these themes within our own lives, we are imbued with the opportunity for both fervent and disciplined emotional expression. As we honor the realm of the Moon which is our emotional milieu we pave our own road to healing and self-realization.

The cosmic tone is one of elevated seriousness and the call to situations which require great responsibility. We may not exactly welcome additional responsibility, however, rising to the challenge of what is set before us links us to true devotion of the moment. The Capricorn Moon will be the grounding force providing us with steadfastness, patience, and adherence to the path. Thus, we look to the qualities of Capricorn to see us through this arduous and trans-formative interlude of time.

Capricorn The Sea-Goat is a cardinal feminine earth sign ruled by Saturn. Capricorn embodies the archetypes of The Hermit, The Father, and The Prime Minister. Capricorn loves a challenge, even in the face of being daunted by what lies ahead. The Sea-Goat is an ancient mythological creature with great stamina. He will climb the highest mountain and swim the widest ocean to arrive at his destination of accomplishment.

Capricorn needs solitude in order to commune with the deep complexity that it’s ruler, Saturn, brings. While there is a tremendous desire for great accomplishment, there is also a deep seated fear of failure. Capricorn is daunted by the unconscious life; that place deep within our psyche.  It is here where one is being called to express in this lifetime. The time for realization of our destiny is now. Within the patterns of our destiny, there is free will.

During this lunation, Saturn, Capricorn’s ruler, is coupled with the Moon. This carries a heightened tone of seriousness for Capricorn. Saturn requires much of us during our lifetime. It speaks to discipline, integrity, accomplishment, and the sincere intent to walk the path.Whatever that path may be, and wherever that path may lead, Saturn only wishes for us to stand in our own authority as we make this incarnational journey. Some questions we may ask ourselves at this time: Who is the author of my own life? And if I am not the author of my life, who is then authoring it for me? Am I living from a place of of my own self-authority? Am I expressing my life force from a place of true authenticity?  Where along the way do the brambles, sticks, and stones need clearing so that I may align myself with my soul’s true calling? If nothing else, we are embracing this time with a seriousness that is both sacred and necessary. The ever seeming mountain that stands before us, once climbed, is our gateway to karmic cleansing.

This Capricorn Full Moon cycle is facilitating our journey with the drive, strength and grounded determination that we need to move inner mountains. By doing so, we will clear a path. Once this path unfolds before us we will find determined strength to climb what we have once perceived as an unreachable peak. Once we reach the summit and see what lies on the other side, we will not be disappointed. Even if the journey has been a bit messy, a long awaited realization will have congealed to perfection.

Capricorn needs solitude in order to commune with the deep complexity that it’s ruler, Saturn, brings. While there is a tremendous desire for great accomplishment, there is also a deep seated fear of failure. Capricorn is daunted by their own greatness. Wherever Capricorn resides in your natal chart, is an area of great profundity, one which must be adhered to from a place of authenticity and self-authority. It is an area where you are being called to high achievement. And yet, this very realm may be challenged along the way with limitations, setbacks and delays. As a result, Capricorn can suffer from the proverbial inferiority complex. One of Capricorn’s most significant evolutionary tasks is to stay the course with the understanding that there are no shortcuts in attaining one’s goal. Capricorn’s ruler, Saturn, will test one’s character and self-confidence over and over again. This is when we call upon our inner Sea-Goat.

A most challenging three days is upon us. The Capricorn Moon will be the grounding force providing us with steadfastness, patience, and adherence to the path. Thus, we look to the qualities of Capricorn to see us through this arduous and trans-formative interlude of time.

Capricorn The Sea-Goat embodies the qualities of authority, discipline, discipleship, solitude, accomplishment, melancholy, seriousness, determination, tenacity, boundaries, limitations and challenges. When Capricorn is out of balance, the less evolved expressions of aggressiveness, competitiveness, selfishness, avarice, depression and emotional stagnation arise. As a cardinal earth sign ruled by Saturn.

As the Moon’s softness hosts Saturn, we have an opportunity to sculpt an emotional form wherein lies the interior of profound feelings.  A deep and responsible relationship with the self contributes to the inter-relational experience colored by love and expressed with integrity.

During this challenging three day interval of heaviness, know that when we pick up the load, our lives become en-lightened.

Within the realm of density, there is ebullient light. The permutation of density is destiny. Pick up your destiny, wrap your arms around it, and carry it to the mountain

Capricorn Full Moon Blessings Upon You.

With faith, discipline, and selfless devotion to duty, there is nothing worthwhile that you cannot achieve.

TAURUS FULL MOON: Standing Our Ground

The mantram of the astrologer is: AS ABOVE, SO BELOW.  This is my prayer, my incantation; as I serve to translate the divine urging of this sacred juncture that is set before us.

The Super Full Moon arrives at 11 degrees of Taurus on Saturday, November 4 at 1:22 AM EDT.

Full Moons carry with them lore, magic, mystery, and sometimes even mayhem. These precious facets of life express themselves in our outer world as well as within our own interior. As we embrace this earthy sensual Full Moon in Taurus, we are reminded that the awakening of our true values is upon us. The full spectrum light of the Sun casts his glorious rays upon the Moon. The pie in the sky serves as a luminous telescopic lens focused precisely upon this point in time within our lives, appearing in a personal realm that is primed and ready for realization and awakening. This Full Moon is both grounded and expansive. So plant your feel on the ground and let your spirit soar!

As with all lunar cycles, there is a potpourri of planetary delights that mix together on one splendid table in which to dine from. Some planets may express in the form of something highly delectable, while others may present a sort of indigestion. Our attitudinal stance toward whatever we are facing will determine the quality of experience for our divine awakening.

As the Sun and the Moon face each other, we face ourselves. The cosmos is a reflection of our true nature within a sacred sector of the vast panorama of our lives.

While we are in the lunar season of Taurus, we meet it’s opposite sign; as we are at the same time in the solar season of Scorpio. Both are coupled within their very diametrically opposed expression.  We are called to dive deeply within our psyches to meet and greet those neglected aspects and qualities of our inherent nature; for Scorpio rules all things felt deeply which are buried and hidden. When we embrace the dark side of our human nature, we discover the buried treasure of our inherent being. The Taurus Full Moon is assisting us with practical grounding and the provision of earthy human comfort throughout the healing process.

This Full Moon is most spectacular as it is a Super Moon, whose appearance will loom ever so large above the earth, exercising a more powerful influence upon us. The magnetic fields upon the earth are amplified as well as our own emotional state of being. Additionally, when the Moon is in Taurus, it is in what is known as an exaltation. While exalted, the expression of the Moon is endowed with highly evolved qualities of both the Moon and Taurus.  Taking all of this into consideration, we are blessed with an extraordinary Full Moon!

As if this were not enough, Jupiter, the planet of expansion, optimism, faith, and enthusiasm, is deeply engaged with both Sun and Moon. We are graced with new vision and the opportunity to rise above all that has weighed us down. Hurting hearts gather reprieve at this time as unveiled wounds reveal the bounty of our true value.

Taurus The Bull, is a fixed earth sign ruled by Venus. The archetypes of Taurus are The Builder, The Earth Spirit, The Musician, and The Quiet One. Taurus rules the qualities and characteristics of peacefulness, presence, mindfulness, groundedness, values, self-value, aesthetic appreciation, security, engagement and commitment to the earth, and highly developed senses. As Taurus is the quintessential earth sign, it is highly attuned to the earth, acting as a steward and cultivator of life in it’s myriad forms.

Taurus longs for security. Tune into your values and live by them; for that is where security lies. Value yourself; for you are valuable. When we adhere to our values, a true and ardent life unfolds before us.

Commune with the earth. Behold the splendor of the leaves. Welcome the nakedness of change.

We are leaving a period of time in which we have been communing deeply with the wounds of our soul. We have allowed them more fully into consciousness. Even wounds do not want to be left out. The Moon is the steward of our wounds. Release them to the Moon. Allow for their departure. They are angels who have just received their wings.

TAURUS FULL MOON BLESSINGS UPON YOU.

PISCES FULL MOON: Surrender

The Full Moon  arrives at 13 degrees of Pisces on Wednesday, September 6 at 3:02 AM EDT

As I write, I find myself somewhat at a loss for words. The Pisces Full Moon experience is fathomless and when accompanied by it’s ruler Neptune, as this Full Moon is, it is difficult to articulate the depth of emotion and otherworldly associations that we are experiencing at this time.

As with any lunar cycle, there is a fleet of planets accompanying the Moon, imbuing her with layers of cavernous depth. These planetary travelers serve to further assist our navigation through this time. Each planet is a spaceship unto itself; a part of the planetary gestalt sailing the cosmos.

At this juncture, the guest of honor is Neptune; an embodiment of the invisible, the numinous, the sacred, the transcendent, The Divine. This is a most propitious moment in which to access the immense sensitivity residing in our emotional body that we as sentient beings inhabit. There is no escaping it. We are as open as a cloudless sky.

This is the first Full Moon following the intense eclipse cycle of the last New Moon and Full Moon. One would think that we are getting a bit of a break, however, we are in the thick of things. Eclipse cycles last far longer than their actual events. We are now  integrating and synthesizing all that has emerged both internally and externally during the recent eclipses. This is a time of reckoning. The only manner in which to reconcile the astronomical shape shifting of our psyches and of our lives is to surrender. Surrender to the Unknown.  Surrender to the Self. Surrender to Emotion. Surrender to the Divine.

There is no amount of personal will that can navigate this increment of time. Time is navigating us. We have expanded beyond intellectual understanding. All we can do is breath and let grace lead the way. We have to once again, find our legs. And right now, our legs are treading the watery realm of Pisces The Fishes. So tread, and swim, and paddle. Make sure that you come up for air. Pisces reminds us of our oceanic nature.  By delving deeply into the mysterious realm that we now inhabit, we align with  ourselves as we are lead into the next chapter of our soul’s unfolding.

We are releasing the hardened molds of self-definition that we have been living out thus far, only to find that we as we have known ourselves, are no longer. The ego is dissipating. The ground beneath our feet feels like a rip tide pulling us away from shore.  Just let go. We will eventually wash ashore in a new land where we will greet an awakened self.

Change is not always visible. Change also takes place within the invisible realms of our being. The soul, the psyche, and the heart are being put through their paces. There may be something that is bubbling on the surface of your mind, a matter which you believed you had put to rest long ago, but now is revisiting with persistent yet gentle intensity. Breath into it.

This is a tender time. As a time of expanded compassion, shower some upon yourself.  Allow yourself to dream. Cry. Forgive. Create. Pray. Visualize. Listen to Music. Commune with Nature; all facets of the Neptunian realm.

But mostly; just surrender.

Pisces Full Moon Blessings Upon You.

“I have been driven many times upon my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had no where else to go. My own wisdom and that of all about me seemed insufficient for that day.” ~ Abraham Lincoln ~

“Always say “yes” to the present moment. What could be more futile, more insane, than to create inner resistance to what already is? what could be more insane than to oppose life itself, which is now and always now? Surrender to what is. Say “yes” to life — and see how life suddenly starts working for you rather than against you.”
~ Eckhart Tolle ~

“Something amazing happens when we surrender and just love. We melt into another world, a realm of power already within us. The world changes when we change. the world softens when we soften. The world loves us when we choose to love the world.” ~ Marianne Williamson ~

Aquarius Full Moon Eclipse: Embarking Upon The Quest

The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse  arrives at 15 degrees of Aquarius on Monday, August 7 at 2:10 PM EDT.

If ever there was a time in which to invoke one’s courage, it is now. Our perceptive abilities are peaked. Look and listen astutely, for we are deep into an eclipse cycle that will serve to irrevocably alter who we are and the life we have been living. We have been catapulted into the fathomless chasms of our psyche. This month long interval of time requires us to rise to our highest levels of self mastery as we prepare for the monumental change that is upon us.

The Aquarius Full Moon Eclipse bears great significance for accelerated change, serving as the preparatory ground for the Leo Total Solar Eclipse on August 21; one which will bring profound re-calibration, both personally and collectively. In the end, we will bear witness to a magnificent remodeling of both our interior and exterior lives.

What we uncover during this lunar eclipse will unleash tremendous personal power as we clear away the discarded emotional debris from our psyche and release it to the light.  Emotions are tender and raw. Let the tears flow. They are tears that are pushing their way through the upward channels and canals from the volcanic depths of our emotional bodies. They are hot lava tears shedding themselves in order to clear the cluttered path that has been preventing us from our soul’s longing. Finally, we wholly recognize our true nature. We have embarked upon the quest of our authentic self. In doing so, we greet and embrace our soul’s deepest longing.

Emotions are riding high as we brace ourselves for recognition, release, reconciliation, and renewal.

Aquarius The Water Bearer is visiting upon us to facilitate the transition between who we think we are and who we really are. Now is the time to let go of old outmoded attachments to identities which no longer serve the emerging authentic self; the self who is ready to step into the new paradigm. This is a natural transitional juncture, though it may feel destabilizing; as any perception of leaving ourselves behind is frightening and unsettling. We are, however, only leaving behind aspects of the self which no longer serve us or fit the new patterns of consciousness  into which we are emerging; patterns of a regenerated self that will greatly assist the world as a result of marching to the beat of our own drum in fulfillment of the inner quest.

The cacophonous drums of the outer world have drowned us out long enough. Now we have an orchestral timpani section that is drumming us into a new rhythm, one in which we can keep step to as we unravel our new self into a new life; a life uncharted. A true quest offers no map. Our only compass is faith.

Eclipses act as portals. For those who have read and enjoyed Harry Potter, eclipses act as a Portkey! They propel us from the familiar to the unknown in the blink of an eye; in one fell whoosh! Eclipses are like that; they transport us in tornado like fashion from our established sense of order, no matter how uncomfortable or unhappy we are with it, to a new awareness, breakthrough, and reality. We may not recognize ourselves or our lives once the process is completed.

Aquarius is our guide and harbinger of hope for this arduous task!

Aquarius is often mistaken for a water sign, when in fact, it is an air sign. The Water Bearer is an archetype that brings solace to the masses with the purification waters of the stream of life; washing over us so that we may cleanse and dissolve the calcified energy of old habits, issues and thought forms.

Aquarius speaks to the masses, caring deeply for the collective; always striving toward that which serves the greater good in lieu of personal gratification. As a fixed air sign ruled by Saturn and Uranus, Aquarius possesses strong factors of loyalty, discipline, steadfastness, devotion, stubbornness, will, revolution, authenticity and individuality.  As air rules the mind, the higher mind as well as the intellect, Aquarius offers us the gift of detachment from that which weighs us down and stultifies us.

We are being offered the opportunity to stand back as a member of our own audience and view the drama that has been unfolding in our lives. Rather than having the stage, we are witness to the drama unfolding upon the stage. In this manner, we have the ability to gain perspective from outside of our limited view and ingrained habitual patterns. We have a first row seat to the frustration and helplessness regarding what we wish to change. From this detached point of view, we see the truth of the matter. In doing so, we release ourselves from old scripts that only serve to keep us stuck, treading water,  and running in circles.

Aquarius defies anything that compromises the authentic self. This lunar eclipse will bring to the surface the emotional matter that has inspired great suffering and for which we have not known how to emancipate ourselves from. Aquarius will grace us with the gift of intelligent discernment and recognition of a detached view which in essence will free us from our self-imprisonment.

Let go. There is no escaping the gravitational forces that are propelling you. Celebrate the opportunity to lose the self that holds you back.  Embrace the authentic self that is biting at the bit to follow your own quest.

Wherever Aquarius falls in your natal chart is where the Lunar Eclipse will land. Dive into that house and resurface as a renewed creature. Open the door. Welcome yourself as the guest.

Aquarius Full Moon Blessings Upon You.

LEO NEW MOON: Prelude To An Eclipse

The New Moon  arrives at 0 degrees of Leo on Sunday, July 23 at 5:45 AM EDT.

The New Moon offers a significant passage into the inner most sanctuary of the self where our own divinely subjective nature informs us of our inner truth. New Moons are fertile ground for seeding consciousness anew.

The Moon travels quickly. Don’t underestimate these frequent short term passages, as micro-cycles can produce long term beneficial results. But first, we must attune and awaken to the area of our chart where the New Moon has arrived. As we seek the bigger picture, we often overlook the subtle energies of our being which comprise a true and lucid journey map for the inner treasure we are seeking

Leo is a fixed fire sign, ruled by the Sun. Dynamic and ebullient by nature, Leo encourages us to shine forth, exuding the light of the true self. We recognize our own magnificence as well as the areas in which our true expression sheds light, encouragement, and joy upon the lives of others. Wherever Leo resides in your natal chart is an area of necessary self-expression, an area in which you inherently need recognition for and appreciation of this very facet of your being. If you hide your light under a bushel within this domain, or shed your light where it is not received, you will feel a deep inconsolable despondency.

The cycle of life abounds with opportunities for new beginnings! This passageway into the realm of Leo is highly auspicious, serving as the prelude to yet another New Moon in Leo on August 21; The Great American Solar Eclipse.  What we bring to enlightened fruition at this juncture will only serve to make this most challenging and irrevocable life changing eclipse more accessible to us, thus serving us on a scale of deep soul evolution.

It is now time to get to the heart of the matter. The heart is comprised of  multitudes of deep and layered strata. We may think we know what is really going on for us. However, when we delve beneath that which appears as the obvious dilemma, the perceived source of grief; we discover yet a much deeper layer of pure anguish that originated long before the manifestation of the current situation. Something has been repressed, boiling beneath the surface of our psyche, biting at the bit for emotional freedom. In order to accomplish such a feat, we are required to muster up the necessary courage by invoking Leo The Lion.

Passion is palpable as the New Moon in Leo arrives in conjunction with Mars, an alignment which is highly combustible. This is a fiery new beginning, one in which both healthy self-assertion and aggression are required of us. Rather than directing these outwardly, both of these qualities can facilitate a true facing of the self. By doing so, we are provided with the energy and determination to see things as they truly are, inspiring us to make the necessary perceptual shifts that will ultimately free us from self-repression, misplaced anger, and blame. The ride will be fast and furious. It is only from a deeply set intention of mindfulness that this energy can inspire us with exhilaration for expansion rather than rage that can ride roughshod over ourselves or another.

During this big cat filled expansion of time, gaze upon The Lion as a meditation. Have you ever seen anything so magnificent? So regal? So beautiful? So courageous? We all have an inner lion whose captivity is now over. This lion longs to lunge into  full expression within our lives, assisting us with our inherent courage as we navigate this eclipse season; a season which will challenge us on so many levels. We must prepare ourselves to face the great unknown.

Even though the lion roars, he is mostly quiet and at peace in his domain. He knows his strength.

This is a time to know your strength.

Know your strength. Know your strength. Know your strength.

Leo New Moon Blessings Upon You.

CAPRICORN FULL MOON: Moving Mountains

The Full Moon  arrives at 17 degrees of Capricorn on Sunday, July 9 at 6:30 AM EDT.

If ever there was a time in which to delve deeply into our emotions, the time is now.

The beauty of Full Moon cycles is that they offer vision. We cannot break through something that we cannot see. Full Moons are the quintessential time in which to see, really see, what is lurking beneath the surface of our psyches. This obscured emotional matter is informing our lives, often in ways which only serve to oppress us. The Moon’s incandescent light offers us a springboard for the the deep interior dive. As we travel the trajectory of this downward plunge, we will encounter shadow realms inhabited by old interior companions. Their names are Anger, Rage, Shame, Sadness, and Grief. These dimensions of the self we have long abandoned are desperately seeking our attention so that they can be recognized and released. We in turn, are emancipated from their oppression. When we face them with an open heart, we free ourselves.

Beneath the shadow of our human psyche lies the opulent gold of our highest nature. Herein lies our inherent gifts, desired enlightenment, and personal freedom. As we courageously catapult ourselves from the precipice of our calcified nature, the perceived structures of safety and security crack open like an ancient dinosaur egg. The primordial matter of our soul is released and we are healed. In order to have this vision, we must willingly enter the portal. Once we are through, we must love what we discover there.

During a Full Moon, as the Sun and Moon reflect each other, so do we. We are mirrors unto ourselves and each other. We only have to willingly recognize and lovingly embrace who and what is before us. We may not be fond of the reflection, and yet, the image that gazes back, offers us an elixir for awakening.

With any lunar cycle, there is a community of planets who for better or worse, interact with each other. The Capricorn Full Moon has Mars and Pluto as her powerful traveling companions. This is a most challenging and volatile alignment. And yet, the alchemy of these planetary travelers serve to further assist our navigation through this time. Each planet is an entity unto itself, contributing to the  gestalt of the multi-dimensional core of our being.

A most challenging three days is upon us. The Capricorn Moon will be the grounding force providing us with steadfastness, patience, and adherence to the path. Thus, we look to the qualities of Capricorn to see us through this arduous and trans-formative interlude of time.

Capricorn The Sea-Goat is a cardinal earth sign ruled by Saturn.

Capricorn embodies the qualities of authority, discipline, discipleship, solitude, accomplishment, melancholy, seriousness, determination, tenacity, boundaries, limitations and challenges. When Capricorn is out of balance, the less evolved expressions of aggressiveness, competitiveness, selfishness, avarice, depression and emotional stagnation arise.

It is a time in which to take ourselves seriously; not in a manner which inflates us, but rather, in a way in which we garnish ourselves with self-respect.

Where do we stop ourselves out of fear of failure? What is requiring discipline and devotion at this time? Are we recognizing our limitations?  Who and what are we raging at? How can we take responsibility for our feelings? Where do we need to set healthy boundaries?  How can we love that which we deem unlovable within us? What is our own particular brand of greatness?  Are we standing in our own authority? How can we author our own lives? What aspects of ourselves or our lives need to die? In what areas of our lives do we long for rebirth?

Capricorn is the solid ground provided in order for us to depart from that which no longer serves our true nature. There is a bigger picture.  We cannot see the new landscape until the dust has settled. In the meantime, the Capricorn Moon is casting an orb of true reflection before us. We must first see before we can understand. Self-understanding requires the ability to stand under oneself. Like a mountain.

Capricorn Full Moon Blessings Upon You.

“Perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us act, just once, with beauty and courage. Perhaps everything that frightens us is, in its deepest essence, something helpless that wants our love.”

Sagittarius Full Moon: The Inner Quest

The Full Moon  arrives at 18 degrees of Sagittarius on Friday, June 9 at 9:09 AM EDT.

A pinnacle time is upon us. We are imbued with full spectrum light as the Moon in her radiance emanates the visionary centaur consciousness of Sagittarius. Revelation awaits us. It is time to en-lighten our worldly load with visionary understanding as we tend to our personal truth.

Our natal Moon informs us of our basic emotional and instinctual nature. As the most tender and vulnerable part of us, the Moon reveals the ways in which we need to be nurtured as well as how we nurture others. Thus, by attuning to our individual Moon, we are presented with wealth of self-knowledge, compassion and understanding. In essence, the Moon is the realm of our soul’s healing.

During the prolific Full Moon cycle, the Moon’s sign speaks to an enhanced awareness of the next step for our emotional evolution. The manner in which we are being cosmically informed may seem foreign to us, yet it is a necessary layer serving as a specialized lens to bring us into focus for the next leg of our journey.

In essence, we get to try on a new lunar costume and explore the realms that are represented by that unique sign. It is an opportunity to address a specific area of our consciousness.

The Moon puts us through our paces. And yet, it is the arduous task of addressing the unconscious where rewards are reaped as we discover true healing. When we tend to healing ourselves, we assist those in our lives as well as the collective at large.

The Full Moon is always in exact opposition by sign and degree to the Sun. Moon in Sagittarius and Sun in Gemini gaze upon each other with admiration as they unveil the revelation. They are luminary partners in consciousness; strutting the dance of duality in the midst of a vibrant conversation, enticing us to explore our thought forms. The most intellectual and literary duo of the constellation is beckoning us to rewrite our scripts.

This Sagittarius Full Moon cycle intensifies the need at this time to embrace our inner truth. What do we believe about ourselves? How do these beliefs inform our lives? Do these beliefs enhance our lives? Does our attachment to perceived identity inhibit our lives? Are we standing in our truth? Is what we hold true about ourselves really true?

Sagittarius is offering us a bigger picture beyond the petty concerns of the mundane world casting an orb of our true reflection before us. We must first see before we can understand. Self-understanding is the ability to stand under oneself.

As the Sun and Moon reflect each other, so do we. Full Moon cycles are optimal times to perceive the other, walk in someone else’s moccasins, gather new perspective. The answer awaits us. The seed of questing was planted during the Gemini New Moon two weeks ago. There is fruition, understanding and revelation.

Sagittarius has an inexorable desire for knowledge, persistently seeking to understand the laws of the universe amidst the struggle to be human. The reconciliation of earthly existence and spiritual evolution is deeply Sagittarian. After all, who would know better of this human-spirit duality than one who is half horse and half human?

Sagittarius The Centaur is a mutable fire sign. Sagittarius embodies the archetypes of Gypsy, Student and Philosopher. They are the great seekers; high-minded, idealistic and visionary. Sagittarius longs for journey and exploration, both without and within. They will wander to the ends of the earth, to the brink of their psyche, in pursuit of greater meaning. There is tremendous restlessness accompanied by an inherent need for personal freedom. As a fire sign, there is enthusiasm, optimism, and buoyancy.

Sagittarius thinks on a grand scale. Therein lies the wound of the Sagittarius spirit. For the idealist, life can often bear pain and discontent; there is no place on earth that can measure up to the visionary’s desire for utmost quality of life, where everyone is expressing from their most evolved state of being. Herein lies the breeding ground for intolerance, one of the most prominent characteristics of the Sagittarius shadow. As Sagittarius embodies the domain of belief systems, religion and political ideologies, other aspects of the shadow express arrogance, fanaticism, opinionatedness and superiority.

The Full Moon always illuminates the shadow side of each sign. Where light is offered, there is also darkness. They inform each other, ultimately presenting opportunity for the transformation of consciousness. Within and beneath the darkness lies our true essence.

Despite the arduous challenges of this time, sparks of optimism are flying through the cosmos. Allow them to sparkle you. Anything can happen. Your world can change in the blink of an eye. Embrace synchronicity. Watch and listen for the signs and symbols that visit upon you. There is affirmation everywhere.

We are being called to shoot our arrows into the sky not knowing where they will land. Now knowing is the path.

Wherever Sagittarius resides in your natal chart, is a most distinct area of profound truth. Within this very region, there is a deep longing for freedom.

I once heard an interview with one of the greatest pianists of the 20th century, Artur Rubinstein. He was and still is my most beloved concert pianist of all time. His playing was purely transcendental. Rubinstein spoke of his soul’s freedom. He expressed that he felt such freedom in his soul, that even if he were locked in a cell without a piano, he would always know his soul was a bird whose flight would never cease. While I was only in my teens at the time, he made an indelible impression upon my heart. It was the first time as a young performing artist that I realized the outer expression of our lives is completely reflective of what lies within. Rubinstein is always with me. I can still see his expression as he spoke those words; a face fully revealing that he was indeed free. He has served as the quintessential instructor of inner freedom; true freedom.

Perhaps, this is the epiphany that awaits us as we walk with The Centaur during this Full Moon.

Dispel a belief. Design a personal quest. Entertain possibilities. Compose your own prayer. Set yourself free.

Launch a flaming winged arrow into the sky and follow it to it’s bull’s eye landing as it soars smack to the center of your heart’s desire.

Ask the inexorable question. It is from this point that we embark. The question is the quest.

As Tolkien said: “Those who wander are not lost.” Let us ponder that those who wonder are not confused.

Sagittarius Full Moon Blessings Upon You.

SCORPIO FULL MOON: CAVERNS OF CONSCIOUSNESS

The Full Moon arrives at 20 degrees of Scorpio on Wednesday, May 10 at 5:42 PM.

Full Moons catapult us from a deep slumber of gestation, illuminating not only the night sky, but our own precious consciousness, which like the Moon is always in flux. As the Sun offers his full reflection upon the Moon, an amazing mirror is held before us in which to gaze upon our true essence. Dear ones, in whatever capacity they may serve in our lives, are now personified mirrors showing unto us all that we have not claimed from within.

The Moon is an emotional compass. If we stray from where the arrow is pointing, we become lost. From this condition of emotional displacement, we descend into darkness and chaos. If we disallow the lunar emotional life’s emergence from the depths of the unconscious, we act out in ways which are hurtful to ourselves and each other; for herein lies our shadow self, which only serves to shield the purest gold of our being. The shadow self has incarnated within our psyches in order to protect us from the pain of the human condition. It is where we have split off from our own divinity. When we take our shadow by the hand, it becomes our greatest ally in our navigation of the hero’s journey, the journey of the soul.

The Scorpio Full Moon is daring us to dive deeply into the caverns of our consciousness. We are up to the task. Our ability and willingness to do so has been mounting for some time. If we dare to travail the deep recesses of our  psyche, to seek, to look, to claim, to embrace all that we have been hiding from ourselves, we will at this sacred juncture experience a resurrection of power.

We are the phoenix rising from the ashes. We are the snake shedding it’s old skin in order to give birth to a new tender yet tenacious skin. We are the eagle soaring to great heights, with a complete perspective of the landscape below. All within the realm of Scorpio, these mythological and nature images serve to show us the spirituous tasks that Scorpio has set before us. Power as we know it, is irrevocably transmuted.

Scorpio The Scorpion is a feminine fixed water sign, ruled by Mars and Pluto. The Scorpion is a primordial creature. Scorpio rules death, transformation, transmutation, regeneration, depth psychology, the shadow of the human psyche, sex, intensity, secrecy, privacy, deep emotion, the occult and power. Archetypes for the sign of Scorpio are The Transformer, The Detective, The Sorcerer, The Hypnotist, The Alchemist, and The Witch.

Wherever Scorpio resides in your natal chart, there is a magic and alchemy. There is a reckoning with the dark dimension of the psyche. Herein lies an ancient wound. Within this wound lies your power. The Scorpio Full Moon is shedding light into these dark corners and neglected recesses of the multidimensional self. It is within these very places that you will experience the travails of emotional catharsis, which in the end, serves to reveal the depth of your authentic power. When we stand in our authentic power, no one has power over us, nor do we allow ourselves to be overpowered. Authentic power stands alone. When Scorpio expresses as such from within our nativity, we serve as a transformation agent to ourselves, to each other and to the world. It is an evolutionary opportunity.

Caverns are places of mystery. We encounter whirlpools, crevices and caves. Instinctively, we keep swimming. We may be sucked down and under by a sudden rapid. We may be lost in a maze with no light in sight. We keep paddling, kicking our feet, catching our breath. Some indistinguishable force propels us. When all seems lost, when we are about to be overcome, when we are immersed within the depths of cathartic oceanic emotion;  just as we feel that we will be overcome by the torrents of the violent currents, we shoot to the surface and find ourselves in open sea.

Scorpio Full Moon Blessings Upon You,

Having wandered some distance among gloomy rocks, I came to the entrance of a great cavern… two contrary emotions arose in me: fear and desire–Fear of the threatening dark cavern, desire to see whether there were any marvelous things in it. ~ Leonardo da Vinci

NEW MOON IN ARIES: “To Thine Own Self Be True”

The New Moon arrives at 7 degrees of Aries on Sunday, March 27 at 10:57 PM EDT.

New Moons offer us a three day window of time in which to embark upon a new emotional cycle.  As life unfolds before us each day, our emotions like the Moon,  wax and wane; like the ocean, ebb and flow. We are after all, liquid beings. Our physical bodies are 50-65% water. The Moon is the harbinger of oceanic tides as well as the steward of human emotions.

Our emotional body is an entity unto itself, exerting influences which bare great significance upon each and every area of our lives. Attuning to the lunar cycles coupled with astute awareness of where they appear in the natal chart, greatly assists us on our soul’s journey. The Moon is a prolific reminder that life is in a continuous state of flux. During each New Moon, we are washed ashore to a new landscape which offers us a new horizon yet unseen. Upon our arrival, we are filled with aspiration.

As the Spring Equinox is the astrological New Year, the Aries New Moon is a prolific time in which to embrace one’s nascent self. We are now as seedlings, pushing up through the earth, emerging as a new life form. Aries is the instinctual life force! Aries is the will to exist.

Aries The Ram is a cardinal fire sign embodying the archetypes of The Pioneer, The Warrior, The Daredevil, The Loner and The Survivor. Aries exudes the qualities of individuality, assertiveness, innovativeness, independence, courage, aggression, passion, ferocity and leadership. Keep in mind, that often times an Aries person does not naturally possess these characteristics, but rather, has come into this incarnation to explore and learn them. As with every sign, there is an evolutionary scale. While we possess the inherent potential and soul knowledge, some of the qualities and characteristics of a sign are still in process. We strive to bring those hidden areas of ourselves, both the flawed and the virtuous, into consciousness; for consciousness itself is the great emancipator.

Along with the Sun and Moon in Aries, these luminaries are accompanied by Venus, Mercury and Uranus, also in Aries. Thus we are endowed with a potent infusion of the fire element providing an optimization of our life force in which exuberance, determination, optimism, faith, confidence and courage are ever present as we embark on the next leg of the journey. Follow the path. It is a road not yet taken. It is solely your own.

We must be true and brave to the core of our being. Our own unique instinctual brilliance is our vital life force. When we deny our true nature, when we ignore our instinctual knowledge, anger explodes as lave from a volcano. While we may believe we are angry at a person or a situation, we are in fact really angry at the self.

Where have you been untrue to yourself? Aries challenges us to face this awareness as an impetus for change so that we may purely express our true nature from the core of our being.

Light your torch. Shed your own light.  There is nobody such as you.

Aries New Moon Blessings Upon You

“To thine own self be true.”- Polonius in Hamlet, William Shakespeare

“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I- I took the road less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.

– Robert Frost –

“If I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have the capacity  at the beginning.” – Mahatma Gandhi

” Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires some of the same courage that a soldier needs. Peace has its victories, but it takes brave men and women to win them.”

Sagittarius New Moon: The Road Less Traveled

The New Moon arrives at 7 degrees of Sagittarius on Tuesday, November 29 at 7:18 AM EST.

We are imbued each month with an auspicious time frame in which to begin anew in a specific realm of our interior being. When we activate this area, we begin to see changes in our immediate world as well. The new moon is a sacred portal, which upon entering can introduce us to a yet undiscovered dimension of the self. Each new moon offers a propitious juncture in which there is opportunity.

hermit_tarot_card_by_spudsonfire-1

Just before the new moon phase, we are in a completion phase known as the balsamic moon. We are integrating and synthesizing that which we began at the last new moon. These final three days of the moon phase are deeply psychic and interior oriented.  We are visited upon by ancient karmic issues. There can be a sense of exhaustion. Astrologers call this “the bottom of the moon.” We are best served by solitude, contemplation and rest. Our dreams may be more vivid during this time. When the new moon arrives, there is a distinctive shift in our energy. We are ready to begin anew.

At this juncture, Sagittarius the Archer is beckoning us to hear our truth. We are being called to follow our path, honor the nature of our truth and explore the unknown. We are at a crossroads.

Sagittarius embodies the archetypes of Gypsy, Student and Philosopher. They are the great seekers; high minded, idealistic and visionary. Sagittarius longs for journeying and exploration, both without and within. They will wander to the ends of the earth, to the brink of their psyche, in pursuit of greater meaning. There is tremendous restlessness accompanied by an inherent need for personal freedom.

As a mutable fire sign, there is enthusiasm, spontaneity, optimism, and buoyancy. As Sagittarius embodies the domain of belief systems, higher education, spirituality, religion and political ideologies, other aspects of the shadow express as arrogance, fanaticism, intolerance, opinionatedness and superiority.

Sagittarius has an inexorable desire for knowledge, persistently seeking to understand the laws of the universe amidst the struggle to be human.

These are strange times. We all feel it. The unfamiliarity of these times is being experienced not only in the outer world, but in our personal lives as well. In the midst of tremendous energetic transformation, there is often confusion and a sense of feeling lost. And yet, there is a strand of hope that leads us on. We are at the very core, spiritual beings.

We are striving toward understanding. We understand by standing under ourselves, beside ourselves, above ourselves.

In what area of your life are you longing for freedom? How can you cultivate freedom within your very being no matter what your circumstances are? Are you speaking your truth? Are you engaging with life beyond the physical realm? How can you engage more as an adventurer? What is your deepest longing? Where are you being called to break out of the familiar and travel a new path? Can you nurture tolerance and understanding for those whose opinions differ from your own? Where have you reached a real crossroads? Can you see yourself beyond this human existence?

I once heard an interview with one of the greatest pianists of the 20th century, Artur Rubinstein. He was and still is one of the most beloved concert pianists of all time. It was the first time as a young performing artist in which I realized that the outer expression of our lives is completely reflective of what lies within. Rubinstein is always with me. I can still see his face as he spoke those words; a face entirely revealing that he was indeed, free. He has served as a quintessential instructor of inner freedom; the only freedom.

I wish you multitudes of Sagittarius blessings!
