THE ASTROLOGY OF SPRING
Spring emerges as a season of renewal. New life emanates from winter’s dormancy. A cycle of creativity in which we plant seeds both literally and metaphorically, spring facilitates an envisioning of future fruition. It is a time in which the energy levels of mind, body and spirit increase. Light and warmth prevail. We embrace hope as we witness the sacred re-emergence of the active life cycle.
As human beings, we have an inherent understanding of the cyclical nature of life; thus, an awareness of the entry of each season assists us in making changes in our lives as we embark upon another chapter of being. Spring marks the astrological New Year, a major turning point in the life cycle on both an individual and collective level.
Aries, Taurus and Gemini are the spring signs. They embody the energetic principles of this cycle, containing ancient wisdom serving as instruction for our lives. As multi-dimensional beings we now have the opportunity to embrace aspects of self which may not always be available to us on a conscious level. Let us explore our springtime energies and potentialities as we visit each of these astrological signs.
The Sun enters the sign of Aries on March 20, 2018. This moment in time marks the Spring Equinox, also known as the Vernal Equinox. Equinox means “equal night.” On this day, the Sun rises exactly in the east, travels through the sky for twelve hours and sets exactly in the west. Equality of light and darkness preside over the day.
Aries the Ram is a fire sign possessing qualities of boldness, dynamism and confidence. Aries is the life force. Just as the tender shoots must push their way up through the hard ground to create life anew, Aries pushes their way through life exhibiting courage, adventure and spirit. Aries possesses highly developed survival instincts permitting them to pursue their goals without interference from anyone. They are primarily concerned with the needs of the self. The Aries person must learn to cultivate a healthy sense of selfishness in order to thrive, meeting his or her own needs while also showing consideration for others.
Aries people long for leadership. As pioneers, innovators and discoverers, they set their own course in life. Since they are always discovering, they often have difficulty in completing that which they begin. After all, Aries is beginnings, from the beginning of life to anything in which we as individuals endeavor to begin. We each have an area of the natal horoscope that is embodied by Aries. Therefore, we each have a distinct way of initiating, an area of highly developed instinctual awareness in which our very survival depends upon. As Aries occupies the primal stages of the spring cycle, it is here where our most spontaneous and essential aspects of self are found.
Aries children display a lively enthusiasm, which will cover a wide variety of interests. Patience does not come easily for these children. Parents serve them well by understanding this, allowing for safely challenging activities in which the Aries child can display their bravado. Activities that promote the development of courage, leadership and innovation bring many fulfillments to the Aries child. Possessing a strong temper, these children are prone to sudden outbursts of anger, but quickly forgive and forget. They must be gently taught the art of compromise as their own unique way of doing something figures prominently in their interactions with others. Aries children often pose as leaders of the neighborhood. They truly possess a spirit of enthusiasm, exploration and confidence.
As the Sun travels through the sign of Aries we have the opportunity to celebrate our aliveness as unique individuals. A sign strongly connected to will power, Aries represents the very life force. We are reminded that birth follows death. The cyclical process of life always returns to the creative principal. We are infused with the energy of new life. As nature gives birth, we birth ourselves. This is a time to celebrate our passionate connection and commitment to life, creating intentions for our lives which ultimately serve to manifest our heart’s desires.
Taurus the Bull enters our solar consciousness on April 20, 2018. Taurus is an earth sign exhibiting sensuality, ease, simplicity and silence. As the quintessential earth energy, Taurus represents the phase of spring in which nature exhibits the lush fullness and fruition of all she has created. Taurean people have a highly developed and sophisticated sensual awareness. Cuisine, music, art and nature figure prominently in their lives. Thus, their lives are often imbued with beauty. Attunement to and celebration of the senses contributes to their wellness. They are quite gifted in recognizing what is valuable in life, thus contributing their high sense of values to all they come in contact with. These values are not confined to the material realm, for Taurus has strong emotional, spiritual and moral values as well.
As an earth sign, Taurus also embodies conservative and practical characteristics. A certain amount of material security is quite important to them. The accumulation of money and goods comes easily. A sign of great determination, Taurus has tremendous patience and tenacity. This is a sign of stillness in which silent receptivity is as natural as the sun rise itself. It is this divine gift of receptivity, which allows them to experience the beautiful and dynamic aspects of life without the act of doing. Their extremely high capacity for sensual fulfillment fills their every moment. Taurus the Bull grazes upon the pasture of life.
Taurean children express themselves most eloquently as they communicate with the earth. Encourage an attunement to nature with such activities as indoor and outdoor gardening, working with clay and hiking in the woods. Experiencing life in its purely natural physical form enables these children to integrate knowledge. As they are exceptionally receptive to touch, they possess a tremendous need to be held and hugged. The Taurus child will be concerned with the accumulation of and attachment to things. Gentle guidance and instruction regarding the rewards of giving as well as receiving will assist them greatly. As change can be quite traumatic for a Taurus child, they are in much need of strong emotional support regarding the comings and goings of life. Teaching a child about letting go can assist them with life’s changes enabling them to live with more flexibility and openness. Embracing a supreme serenity, they are the peacemakers, serving as gentle and loving guides upon the earth.
As the Sun journeys through Taurus we are blessed with a higher attunement to earth consciousness. It is no accident that our celebrated national holiday, Earth Day, is on April 22nd, only two days into the sign of Taurus. This is the phase of springtime in which we receive nature’s bounteous beauty, a time in which to celebrate being. As the physical senses are heightened, we partake of pleasure. Within this interval lies our capacity to contemplate that which we value, beginning with ourselves, our world and those with whom we share our lives.
The sun enters the sign of Gemini the Twins on May 21, 2018. At this time a much more active level of consciousness is awakened. Within this final phase of the spring season nature is extremely active. There is incessant movement among the creatures as baby birds and mammals leave their nests and wander into a larger world. Bird song fills the air.
Gemini, a quick, sharp energy is an air sign. Those born under this influence demonstrate tremendous wit, humor, communication and restlessness. They possess an ethereal quality, which accompanies them all of their lives. The Gemini soul is the eternal youth. Lightness of being accompanies them as they travel between experiences in search of knowledge, information and fun. As a symbol of duality, the twins embody the ability to perceive the polarities of life and remain as one of the least judgmental of all the signs. Gemini beings understand each and every angle to a situation thus possessing the unique ability to understand and accept different perspectives. Teaching comes quite naturally to them as they have an eloquent command of language and communication.
As children, Geminians are extremely active, restless and mischievous. They develop quite rapidly displaying accelerated development of language and movement. They are experts in the art of mimicking, repeating everything that they hear. There is an extreme love of books and a fascination with language. Gemini kids bore quickly and easily, needing a great deal of variety and stimulation in their lives. As an air sign, Geminis possess strong intellectual sensibilities and a proclivity for abstractions. As communication is of utmost importance to these children, they thrive on conversation. Provide them with reading and writing activities as well as toys which allow for speedy movement. Above all, be watchful of boredom in the Gemini child, for this can create sadness and depression. As they love to expound upon their ideas, they need instruction in how to listen to others. And as their minds are so very active, they need to cultivate the ability to focus and concentrate. Gemini children remind us of the expansiveness of life, instructing us with humor, wit and love.
While the sun is in Gemini we are reminded to embrace lightness of being. There is a sense of freedom, which accompanies us. This is a prolific period to process thoughts and feelings, journal them and ultimately communicate honestly, openly and lovingly to the significant beings in your life.
Spring, season of rebirth, invigorates, inspires and invokes, illustrating that in the vast scheme of things we are the created and the creators.
New Moon In Pisces: Swimming Upstream
The New Moon arrives at 26 degrees of Pisces on Saturday, March 17 at 9:11 AM EDT.
New Moons are a time in which to plant seeds of mindful intention. The darkness is an optimal time for watchful introspection. As we delve within the deeper dimensions of the self, we are honed with New Moon subjective awareness, facilitating a fresh approach to begin anew within an area of our lives. The New Moon encourages us to become our own best friend as the self intimately communes with the self.
Even during the dark of the Moon, we know that she is there. And after all, the darkness allows the stars to brightly shine forth in their full magnificence. The Moon graciously allows for their spectacle when it is not her time to shine.
As the outer light of the Moon is not visible to us, it is an optimal time in which to recognize our inner glow. Soon, when the light slowly begins to wax, we will gradually emerge from the darkness, for the ever increasing light brings forth yet another facet of our life, heightened by New Moon subjective experience which in turn imbues us with sage awareness.
Life is like an ouroboros. Pisces The Fishes reminds us of this as two fish swim in circular motion, navigating both beginning and ending cycles with fluidity and grace. We are each the head and the tail. We circulate within the realm of our inner and outer worlds. Upon the completion of one cycle, we find ourselves at the beginning of another. Each lunation blesses us with the opportunity for ever increasing consciousness, for we are imbued with layer upon layer of visionary expansion that serves to assist us on the next lap of our journey.
Pisces The Fishes is a mutable feminine earth sign ruled by Jupiter and Neptune. The qualities of Pisces include compassion, empathy, artistry, sensitivity, otherworldliness, imagination, emotionality, psychic ability, and attunement to the collective. The shadow realm of Pisces includes martyrdom, a redeemer complex, escapism, victim consciousness, lack of personal boundaries, and rose colored glasses syndrome. Pisces embraces the archeypes of The Dreamer, The Mystic, and The Shapeshifter.
Pisces possesses an instinctive awareness of the higher dimensions of consciousness, thus feeling both the woes and ecstasies of the world. Pisces strives for a state of transcendence, possessing an inherent tempermental make-up in which to attain this.
Pisces embraces the unity of all beings as ONE. We are in this oceanic life togther, swimming for our lives, often against the currents which are pulling us back into the depths of despair and loneliness. Before we are able to break free of the current, we must sometimes allow ourselves to become submerged by the forces of cosmic gravity in order to feel what has been self-rejected so that we may swim through the turbulent currents resurfacing with efficacious healing and a newly discovered source of enlivenment.
Chiron The Wounded Healer is also in Pisces, closely accompanying the New Moon. Our woundedness may feel more palpable. Chiron is a powerful ally despite its challenges. He helps us to move more deeply into that which feels unhealable. Within this very space of our soul, we find the path to our own healing, which ultimately contributes to the healing of this world.
Wherever there is a preponderance of Pisces in your star chart, there is immersion into the oceanic depths of intense emotion and heightened sensitivy. Within this area of our natal pattern, we are invited to welcome the tender parts of ourselves, knowing that within this layer of vulnerability lies great strength. Vulnerability is a product of courage. Our invitation allows for its sentient presence, thus facilitating our own inherent ability to commne with unconditional love for ourselves and for others. When we reject or repress this vulnerability, we find ourselves flailing in an emotional spiral of tidal proportions. These turbulent emotions often leave us in states of pain, confusion and disorientation. Self-alienation emanates from fearful refusal to allow ourselves to free fall. There is a soft landing place within one’s own heart. Upon arrival, we open our hearts to ourselves. In doing so, we find within, the elemental water realm of receptivity. As we resonate with this state of fluidity, there is an outpouring of love.
Dive deep. Greet the creatures from the depths of time. Breaking the surface you will once again behold the stars.
Pisces New Moon Blessings Upon You.
“The emotion that can break your heart is sometimes the very one that heals it.” ~Nicholas Sparks, At First Sight ~
“But pain’s like water. It finds a way to push through any seal. There’s no way to stop it. Sometimes you have to let yourself sink inside of it before you can learn how to swim to the surface.” ~ Katie Kacvinsky ~
“Crying does not indicate that you are weak. Since birth, it has always been a sign that you are alive.” ~ Charlotte Bronte ~

FULL MOON IN VIRGO: Healing Into Helpfulness
The Full Moon arrives at 11 degrees of Virgo on Thursday, March 1 at 7:51 PM EST.
The Moon is our timekeeper. She rotates around our blue planet like a slow waltz. With grace and mystique, she reveals to us the lesser and greater aspects of her physical being; all of which are reflections of cyclical life in its myriad forms. When full, she looms large and picturesque above the earth. She is the light keeper and the light giver.
The same goes for us. Sometimes we live and express from the full light of our pure essence. Other times, we are hidden in the cavernous darkness of our psyches. We need to traverse both of these worlds. We cannot grow while standing still within one stagnant dimension of consciousness. Internal growth is fluid, ever yielding new shapes, forms, and dimensions of our ever evolving soul.
The Full Moon is an opportunity for us to shine light upon an area of our consciousness which has remained hidden. After the travails of darkness, we see the light. Something that has weighed heavily upon our shoulders has been lifted. The illumination of The Full Moon allows us to put it all down as we engage with an awareness that resonates with personal truth. What has been incubating within is born anew.
Time is traveling at unparallelled speed. This earthly journey is a fast track. As we are still in the midst of the greater eclipse cycle; emotions, circumstances, and personal crisis have been looming large in our lives. Eclipses are like catapults. Events unravel like shooting stars. Our awareness soars at the speed of light. We have been undergoing a cosmic cleanse.
As the Full Moon in Virgo arrives, we will find ourselves landing upon the soft earth. We pick ourselves up, dry our tears, dust ourselves off, and engage with self-nurturing; as we integrate and synthesize this most challenging time passage from which we are now emerging. In the process of caring for ourselves, we are energized. Within the fluidity of our being, there is solidity. When we unconditionally show up for ourselves, we inadvertently show up for others. It may surprise you as to how greatly one’s authentic presence serves another. As we navigate self-responsibility within the realm of our own healing process, it comes across in translation; mirroring to other beloved beings their true worth. When we heal ourselves, we assist others with a possibility that they too can heal. Being deeply of service requires looking deeply within.
Virgo The Virgin is a mutable feminine earth sign ruled by Mercury. The qualities of Virgo include, kindness, patience, discrimination, helpfulness, mindful servitude, perfectionism, groundedness, healing, healthful living, and humility. The archetypes of Virgo are The Servant, The Analyst, The Hermit, The Healer, and The Perfectionist.
The Virgin is greatly misunderstood in popular culture and at times, even in the realm of Astrology. The word “virgin” means “whole unto herself.” While purity is greatly associated with Virgo, it’s meaning is not intended as a state of one’s sexuality or lack of primary partnership; but rather, an awareness that stems from independence, strength, and fortitude. Virgos are some of the strongest and most tenacious people you will ever meet. Wherever Virgo is in your chart, there is integrity, independence, and a particularly gifted area in which you are of efficacious service to others. The Full Moon is landing in that particular arena of your chart at this time; providing an opportunity to engage with one’s self-sufficiency and independence, coupled with an awareness of where and how you inherently offer profound service to others. The spirit of service is the quintessential quality of Virgo.
We have been traveling with a fleet of Pisces planets which serve as Virgo’s polarity. The Full Moon is accompanied by The Sun, Neptune, Mercury, Venus, and Chiron. Neptune is looming largest among them all, carrying the Full Moon through what may have been uninhabited waters. Amidst the grounded stability of Virgo, there are also high tidal frequencies within the watery realm of emotion. We are endowed with the gifts of feeling, mysticism, and spiritual expansion. It may at times even feel as though we are traveling through another world, one which may seem foreign, and yet, filled with enchantment. Reality is hard to grapple with as the Neptunian influence is one of high idealism inspiring us to save the world. But first, we must save ourselves.
The expanse and immensity of the water element that is upon us is beyond words; for the realm of water knows no language other than what it deeply feels within it’s fathomless depths. Sometimes, only feeling is necessary for our growth without the headiness of words and explanations. As Virgo and Pisces partner with each other, we have the opportunity to remain grounded while surfing the unchartered sea.
We all know and understand the pain we feel in response to another’s suffering. Our task at this time is to learn to tolerate our own pain in the face of another’s suffering. Within this capacity, we may be more fully present without the personal experiential chaos which emerges from our desire to heal the other. Healing is spontaneous. It is born of the loving presence of our authenticity. Healing is helping.
It is a time of reckoning. What has long been felt already deemed, has made it’s reprise and shaken up our lives. Allow this reprise as you would a gorgeous passage in music. Soon it will resolve to it’s original key or it may modulate into a new seascape where we can sail upon calmer waters.
It is a time in which to hoist your white sail and surrender.
VIRGO FULL MOON BLESSINGS UPON YOU.

NEW MOON SOLAR ECLIPSE IN AQUARIUS: On Being Human
This writing is dedicated to our humanity. May we wrap our arms around our brilliant human selves so that we may embrace humanity and our oneness with each other.
The New Moon Solar Eclipse arrives at 27 degrees of Aquarius on Thursday, February 15 at 4:05 PM EST.
During the past week, we have been experiencing the midpoint between the eclipse cycle that has been upon us since the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo which occurred two weeks ago. Midpoint periods are especially potent times linking the past to the present; while at the same time catapulting us into the future. This eclipse cycle is part of an even greater eclipse cycle in close relationship to The Great American Eclipse in Leo which occurred on August 21rst. Throughout this entire time, we have been preparing for life changing events as pathways to the discovery of our own brilliance. Our greater personal expression and self- fulfillment have been ensnared within a dimension of suffering we have known all too well. We have reached the final conclusion; there is no other option other than to soar beyond the pain of past experience. It is a time of tremendous release.
This New Moon Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius is in exact opposition to the Full Solar Eclipse in Leo of August past, thus bringing us full circle to matters which we can no longer supress or ignore. It is a time of departures, reckonings, life changes, grief, and acceptance; all of which ultimately facilitate realignment to the true and authentic self. Full spectrum vision is activated as we reunite our soul’s inherent longing for the expression of our pure and unfettered essence.
Perhaps it has been a sorrowful time, or a turbulent time, or a remorseful time. Perhaps it has been a time of fearfulness. Whatever the case may be, it has not been an easy time. We have been pedaling backwards in an attempt to control a long past consequential outcome that still may cut to the core. Upon further examination, it dawns upon us that these very circumstances and beloved people have completely served our soul; and we have served theirs. Once we clear away the clouds of our distorted perceptions, we will greet with positive anticipation the luminous reawakening that awaits us.
At this time of excavating the rich interior of our lives, we crawl between the stalactites and stalagmites deeply embedded in the crevices of our psyche. These calcified impressions of disillusionment propel us to confront the pain that has been lying dormant within the confines of our psychic cave. Once we are down and in, there is buried treasure. Our tears have turned to jewels.
Aquarius The Water-Bearer is a fixed masculine air sign. It is the sign of humanity. In order to express our humanity within the larger collective, we must first embrace our own unique humanness. Within the realm of our own human dimension, we may feel flawed, wounded, remorseful, angry, and sorrowful. All of it is bubbling to the surface; a stew of multiple ingredients that only serves to release us if we fully partake of life’s feast. As we digest all that is there, we savor what is both joyful and sorrowful. Through the grace of acceptance, we free ourselves of what no longer serves our higher good or the good of all concerned.
What has been stirring within these turbulent and uncomfortable feelings are the tides of change; rip tides that are pulling us beneath the frothy oceanic depths of emotion. We may feel as though we will be swept out to sea, never to emerge again. The magnetic waters are cleansing us; setting us upon a new uncharted course; one in which our wisdom and compassion will navigate with skill and heart. We will propel to the surface cleansed and renewed. Such has been the experience of the current times as we stride through a most prolific, profound and emotional eclipse cycle. Eclipses portend irrevocable change.
At this juncture, this solar eclipse is propelling us toward complete release. Release the past. Release the present. Release the future. We have within our capability, an opportunity for a newly awakened life shimmering with the brilliance of our being.
As we mount each day with courage, pray that someone else may walk in our moccasins. Pray that we may walk in the moccasins of another. Step by step, we will know each other. Step in step, we will together sail the skies of enlightenment. We will land upon the Aquarian cloud where the Water-Bearer is pouring forth the holy water of our salvation.
Aquarius New Moon Blessings Upon You.

“If our hearts are ready for anything, we can open to our inevitable losses, and to the depths of our sorrow. We can grieve our lost loves, our lost youth, our lost health, our lost capacities. This is part of our humanness, part of the expression of our love for life. ” ~ Tara Brach ~

FULL SUPERMOON LUNAR ECLIPSE IN LEO: The Light-ness of Being
The Full Super Moon Full Lunar Eclipse arrives at 11 degrees of Leo on Wednesday, January 31 at 8:26 AM EST.
A Super Full Moon Eclipse is upon us. It is a time in which to more fully realize the en-light-enment that we each inherently embody. Our recognition of this luminous dimension of the true and authentic self activates the light that we exude to others and to the world. Our personal radiance heals. This embodied light is rising fully within us.
This is the second Full Moon of this month. The first full Moon was on January 1rst. Two Full Moons emerging on the first and last days of the first month of the new year bear great significance, providing a heightened opportunity for us to wake up and see what is really there. What is really really there? What have we not yet seen or recognized within our own lives that was standing before our eyes? This once unseen dimension may have existed for eternity. As this is an eclipse, our revelation will be more than one could have ever imagined. Eclipses enhance our emotional awareness. We will discover some facet of our psyche that was hidden in the realm of the subconscious. Our hearts pound with emotion. And yet, we are enlivened by them. They are long lost friends who celebrate their recognition. As they emerge from the darkness, we greet them.
Lunar eclipses stir the cauldron of emotion. We are being alchemized. Emotional truth is the concoction of the soul.
Revelations which ultimately transform us, may be painful. And yet, the broken heart is an open heart. In the midst of what may seem harsh and unbearable lies Leo’s expansive domain of heart. Our travails through the darkness eventually unravel into an emergence of light. As the shadow of the earth passes across the face of the Moon, we can use the temporary darkness to embrace our own darkness; for soon the Moon’s full spectrum light of the Sun will once again show her radiant glowing face. The Sun and the Moon are cohorts. They emulate the lightness of being.
When we are born, we emerge from the womb of the Moon into the light of the Sun. There are times in which the Moon must be revisited in order to go inside and comb through our inner life. Then, we once again return to the Sun. When we allow ourselves to contract, there is expansion. When there is expansion, there is contraction. This is the cycle of life.
Leo is a fixed masculine fire sign ruled by the Sun. It’s qualities include charisma, leadership, humor, theatrical style, light-ness, artistic talent, expression, grandeur, royalty, dynamism, flamboyance, ebullience, and courage. Leo’s dark side tends toward egotism, arrogance, pride, cruelty, and the unwillingness to compromise.
As human beings, no matter what our sign, we all fall into darkness during difficult times; or when perhaps we are feeling threatened by something or someone real or imagined. Each and every Sun sign has the capacity for the full embodied light of creative loving expression. Leo’s essential mission is to mirror to us the magnificence of our own being through the expression of our essential purpose.
The relational planet, Venus, is accompanying this lunation. We receive the other’s light while at the same time, exuding our own. The past karma of relational instability has risen to a compassionate realization of our partnership with each other as the facilitators of personal growth and soul-full transformation.
We are traveling at the speed of light.
May you find yourself shining brightly within your own being.

CAPRICORN NEW MOON: Climb Every Mountain
The New Moon arrives at 26 degrees of Capricorn on Tuesday, January 16 at 9:17 PM EST.
We all long for something new. While each and every moment offers us something fresh in the form of awareness and experience, it is paramount for us to recognize when there is an actual beginning cycle occurring within the cosmos; for it is within this auspicious time frame that we plant ardent seeds of intention; seeds that can grow into the tallest Redwood.
The first New Moon of the New Year promises to be one of grounded breakthrough. We are in a time of strong Capricornian energy, as coinciding with this New Moon we have accompanying potent Capricorn placements which include Venus, Mercury, Saturn, and Pluto! We are now living among a small herd of cosmic Sea-Goats, swimming the vast ocean of emotion while scaling with persistence toward the pinnacles of our lives with great determination and the conviction of our spiritual and material goals. We are ardent and tenacious.
When there is a strong profusion of one sign, we are gifted with the opportunity to embrace and more fully realize that sign within a specific region of our star charts. There is heightened desire and focused will to manifest that particular area of our lives with dedication, determination, and discipline. Paramount to this process is integrity.
Capricorn The Sea-Goat is a cardinal feminine earth sign. The qualities of Capricorn include integrity, responsibility, loyalty, dutifulness, melancholy, tenacity, leadership, seriousness, aloneness, wisdom, and fortitude. Capricorn embraces the archetypes of The Wise Elder, The Builder, The Hermit, and The Father.
Saturn recently entered Capricorn. As the ruler of Capricorn, Saturn’s expression through it’s own sign is potent and life affirming in highly constructive and practical ways. In short, the Capricorn New Moon provides a pristine foundation for what we are striving toward, both inwardly and outwardly in the year before us.
Uranus’s challenging yet enlightening relationship to this New Moon catapults us into the depths of Capricorn, imbuing this dutiful earth sign with a sense of unbounded freedom, informing us of our true and inherent make-up as both human and spiritual beings. Within the highly vibrational electric sparks of Uranus’s accompaniment to the New Moon, lies a strong foundational earth-sky centered awareness that we as human beings can fully access. Our awareness of this is ripened as we decipher a fuller more embodied understanding that we are not completely of this world. In essence, we are both worldly and otherworldly. As we breathe through multiple dimensions, we traverse the path with our feet planted lightly yet firmly upon sacred ground while simultaneously stepping high toward the heavenly peaks of our soul’s longing.
While we marvel at the mountainous peaks from afar, there is nothing better than beholding them in close view. As we climb the continuous mountain ranges of our lives, each summit offers yet another peak to scale. We keep climbing. As human beings there is no final destination. As spiritual beings, the sky’s the limit.
Welcome to Heaven and to Earth.

CANCER SUPER FULL MOON: Emotional Alchemy
This writing is dedicated to The Divine Mother. May we know her. May she guide our emotions as they flow into the current of oceanic love.
The Super Full Moon arrives at 11 degrees of Cancer on Monday, January 1 at 9:24 PM EST.
What better way to start the New Year than with a Full Super Moon in all of her luminescence? Warmth and radiance pour forth. We are standing in the spotlight of our own illumination.
A supermoon is a term coined in modern astrology to define an event in which a Full Moon makes the closest approach to the Earth on its elliptical orbit. During such events, like the tides, our emotions run high and strong. We have been swimming vigorously through whirlpools of tears; both of joy and of sorrow. Propelled by our awareness of the fragility of life, our feelings are washed ashore. We greet them at the shoreline.
As Moon ruled Cancer is the quintessential sign of pure emotional sensitivity; our emotions are immeasurably heightened. We have pristine vision of our personal palette of sentiment that perhaps has been invisible to us in the past. Our very beings are an array of love, joy, hope, anticipation, sorrow, regret, and the daunting awareness that time is ever fleeting. We vow to cherish each and every moment. We treasure the precious people in our lives. Every-thing and every-one become even more meaningful to us. The gates of our hearts are swung more fully open.
Life looms large at The New Year. Life looms even greater during a Super Full Moon. As we combine these events, there is a sacred marriage in service to our own spiritual purification.
We think of beginning anew at the New Moon, and yet, this Full Moon is a pure beginning. As we enter the New Year infused with our own sentience, we emerge from a place of confusion into an enlightened emotional landscape. This lunation takes us to a highly elevated juncture; a towering precipice from which to leap into the oceanic waters of Divine Love. We have been swimming vigorously through whirlpools of multifaceted tears propelled by our awareness of the fragility of life. Now, our feelings are washed ashore. We greet them at the shoreline.
Cancer is a cardinal feminine water sign ruled by the Moon. Therefore, this Cancer Moon is right at home within her own rulership. The significant facets of this sign are emotions, tenderness, home, family, children, tradition, mother, healing, connection and the nurturing of self and others. Cancer’s archetypes are The Mother, The Healer, and The Invisible One.
The softness of this time is imbued with a Grand Water Trine from the Moon to Neptune to Mars-Jupiter and back to the Moon. Trines are geometric forms comprising a perfect triangle. They are beacons of flow and ease and grace. Water is the element of emotion, empathy, compassion, receptivity, and psychic sensitivity. This Mother of all Moons is keeping kind company with her planetary companions. As they accompany her, they too are assisting us so that we may access the Divine Feminine within as we embrace all that is Yin. As we soften, we open our arms and graciously receive.
Much has been settled within us. As the waters calm, there is a new seascape of the life which flows forth. Tears may spill. Let them flow. Tears cleanse our perception. Perception is our window to the world.
Light transcendant is cast upon our path; a moonglow like no other.
The Moon is within our reach. We only have to reach within.
Cancer Super Full Moon Blessings Upon You.

SAGITTARIUS NEW MOON: Believing is Seeing
The New Moon arrives at 26 degrees of Sagittarius on Monday, December 18 at 1:30 AM EST.
In the grand scheme of life’s magnificent panorama of experience, we are granted numerous cycles in which to begin anew. No matter the size and length of the cycle, each one is potent; portending opportunity for growth and transformation. Each one has it’s own planetary themes, style, flavor, and characteristics; all of which speak to specific areas of one’s life as well as to particular dimensions of one’s psyche. The New Moon is one such cycle; one which falls into the microcosmic scheme of cyclical events. However short this cycle may be, it is no small matter. Less is more.
New Moon consciousness is quiet. All the more better for us to hear. But first, we have to listen. The small still voice within has something to say.
While Sagittarian expression is quite expansive and profusive, our inner voice is speaking more boldly through the quiet atmosphere. There is a lot to say. This time is as expansive as the Milky Way, for this New Moon appears in The Galactic Center, a most powerful and auspicious space in the galaxy known by astrologers as The Gateway to God. Accompanied by Mercury, Venus and Saturn, this magnificent alignment ushers in waves of optimism and visionary gifts of manifestation. This outstanding lunation appears just before the Winter Solstice and the ingress of Saturn into Capricorn. These happenings are momentous in nature; each one in and of itself a harbinger of change. We have the enthusiasm and optimism of Sagittarius as well as the somber and melancholy mood of Capricorn and Saturn; quite the recipe for the balancing of opposites in which we reconcile our faith and happiness with our more cautionary and melancholic nature.
In the background, the cosmic cheerleaders are chanting us on to take the leap from the precipice of this mountainous plateau at which we have finally arrived after the strenuous climb from the ground of our human limitations. We have arrived at the peak of spiritual awakening. An auspicious moment. We see the light. We don’t know what is ahead. We do know that the rewards of our arduous inner and outer work are coming to fruition. Perhaps for the first time in a long while, we have faith. We believe in ourselves. The Divine has shown it’s holy face. Our sense of forsakenness has dissipated.
Consciousness is stirred anew during the dark sky of a New Moon. As we approach the shortest day of the year, the darkness is deeper and thicker. The main themes are beginnings, endings, and faith. As we cultivate this faith, envisioning what we wish to manifest in our lives on all levels, we see our dreams come to fruition. Dreams do come true. It may sound Pollyanna. She was on to something. Our thoughts and beliefs do create our reality. What we believe is what we see.
It takes intimate communion with self and deep concentration in order to penetrate the karmic levels of our being which reside unconsciously in order to break through to the manifestation of our dreams. With the expansion of Sagittarius and the contraction of Capricorn, the stillness of the Winter Solstice can help us to congeal these polarities with both grounded faith and solid wisdom.
Sagittarius The Centaur is a mutable fire sign ruled by Jupiter. Sagittarius rules optimism, advanced education, exploration, adventure, foreign travel, astral travel, intuition, religion, faith, the higher mind, learning, seeking, and expansion. The archetypes for Sagittarius include The Student, The Gypsy, and The Philosopher.
As we consider the symbol of Sagittarius, we can see half horse and half human, shooting his arrow into the sky not knowing where it will land. It is an act of pure faith. The archer could quite possibly miss the mark. And yet, with head held high, he aims his arrow into the heavens with the faith that it will land on the path to his destiny. There is encompassed within this figure both animal nature and spiritual nature. If ever there was a time in which to embrace ourselves as spiritual beings having a human experience, it is within this very moment.
Shoot your arrow into the heavens tied with a note of your deepest longing. Know that an angel will make the perfect catch and grant your wish. Embark upon an ecstatic gallop from the place in which you were once tethered.
Sagittarius New Moon Blessings Upon You.

SUPER GEMINI FULL MOON: Compassionate Communication
AS ABOVE, SO BELOW. As the universe, so are we.
The Super Full Moon in Gemini arrives at 11 degrees of Gemini on Sunday, December 3 at 10:46 AM EST.
In the grand scheme of life, the Moon exemplifies a constancy which often goes unseen in this ever changing world. The Moon is always there, even in the darkness of its newness. When the Moon is full, we are full as well. When we tap into the inner most sanctum of our consciousness, the once dormant nature of our fullness reveals itself as a celebration of something innately present, long withheld from recognition and expression. Awareness precedes transformation.
The inception of this revelation began at the New Moon, where seeds of intention were firmly planted in the rich soil of of our being. At this juncture, The Super Gemini Full Moon looms ever larger and brighter with an ebullience that symbolically exemplifies an exalted facet of our nature. We in turn experience an inner magnificence that beams with the luminosity of the soul’s true essence.
Wherever Gemini resides within your natal chart there is profound opportunity for the channeling of exquisite awareness and open communication.
Gemini is exemplary of the reconciliation of opposites, thus possessing an innate ability to facilitate unified consciousness in the face of a society that operates within a field of duality. As oppositional perspective is paramount to the suffering and hostility that abounds in this complicated and conflicted societal milieu, Gemini consciousness constitutes an unfettered awareness of opposites fueled by compassionate perspective. Gemini has a facile ability to be-hold all of it; thus hold all of it. When operating at it’s evolved level of expression, Gemini inspires us to see the bigger picture, behold the other; hence invoking a new humanistic landscape that will emerge when the dust of destructive duality settles into a field of unconditional unity.
Gemini The Twins is a mutable air sign ruled by Mercury. The enlightened qualities of Gemini are adaptability, versatility, charisma, vivaciousness, intellectualism, curiosity, self-expressiveness, communicativeness, independence, self-education, playfulness, humor, and wittiness. As the esoteric ruler of Gemini is Venus, Gemini is characterized as having a strong love vibration.
As with all of the signs of the zodiac with their unique and varied expressions, there is a spectrum from which they operate depending upon the development of the individual’s personality and soul. The less evolved characteristics of Gemini include behavioral expressions of gossip, flightiness, restlessness, inconsistency, shallowness and fragility.
The archetypes of Gemini include The Teacher, The Witness, The Storyteller, The Reporter, and The Trickster.
Neptune, the planet of mysticism, transcendence, compassion, spirituality, and other-worldliness, closely accompanies the Sun and Moon, thus imbuing this communicative interval of time with profound opportunity for the necessary truths which beckon for honest expression. While Neptune can often inspire confusion, illusion, and ultra-sensitivity, these qualities are also upon us. We may be prone to projection and a sense of victimization. However, we can embody the best of Neptune as we infuse compassion and mindful awareness of others. It is an opportune time for expressing oneself via compassionate communication to self and others. In doing so, we present ourselves both firmly and tenderly.
Stand in your truth with supple legs. Anoint yourself with sacred words. Speak them to yourself. Speak them with another. Behold the recognition that in doing so, you are speaking with The Divine.
Gemini Full Moon Blessings Upon You.

SCORPIO NEW MOON: Me And My Shadow
The New Moon arrives at 26 degrees of Scorpio on Saturday, November 18 at 6:42 AM EST.
We are presented over and over again with profound opportunity to begin anew. There is tremendous comfort in this. As we begin a new lunar cycle, I find myself reflecting upon what I wish to bring into consciousness during this deep and mysterious New Moon in Scorpio. New Moons present a personal venue for inner intimacy. As the Sun and Moon are aligned with each other, the energy is potent and concentrated. We are blessed with an opportunity for quietude. An inner monologue longs to be written and expressed. How will we set our internal stage?
At this juncture, Scorpio the Scorpion is inviting us to dive into the deep well of inner darkness, for it is within these depths of consciousness that transformation of the highest order awaits us.
Scorpio The Scorpian is a fixed water sign, ruled by Mars and Pluto. The qualities of death, transformation, depth, darkness, intensity, power, passion, faithfulness, bravery, and focus are ever present to us as we embark upon the inner quest. Scorpio embodies the archetypes of The Detective, The Sorcerer, The Hypnotist, and The Transformer.
The Scorpian is not a pretty creature. And yet, it is beautiful.
Wherever Scorpio resides in our natal chart is where we fully embody the darkness. It is an area of profound personal power. This realm of our deepest wounding offers tremendous opportunity for transformation within this lifetime. And yet, it can act as a blind spot that lives in exile from our greater wholeness. At this time we have the will, the vision, the capacity and the courage to face our darkness, our human shadow: that which we deem unlovable.
This place is one in which we have perhaps neglected to inhabit. It is a realm of difficult psychic, emotional, psychological and spiritual matter. While it is an area of the psyche that we have neglected, for it can feel like just too much to face and feel, this very area of trepidation is powerful beyond measure. When these emotions are faced and felt, we rise from the ashes like the phoenix, a powerful mythological symbol closely aligned with Scorpio. We die in order to be born anew.
We may find ourselves undergoing deep alchemical processes whereby transformation, transmutation and transfiguration are means for transport from the uncomfortable inner complacency which has been longing for recognition and release. Herein, beneath the darkness, lies the true gold of our inherent nature, our divine essence; the purest and highest expression of the true self.
What area of your life has reached a place of completion? Do you feel a kind of death to your old self? Can you release to the light that which no longer serves your highest good? Where do you need to take a risk? Can you recognize the dark emotions through a lens of love? Where are you meeting the shadow in the outer world and with whom? Can you behold your deepest wound as the source of your greatest gift?
The darkness is a sacred chamber.
Enter the chamber.
Your dark angel awaits you.
Embrace.
The sacred chamber is your heart.
New Scorpio Moon Blessings Upon You.
